Hi Ma'abud~

Adding captions is done by clicking on the photos you have uploaded from within your own page. They will appear full size and then you look for the little box (upper right I think) and click on that an some boxes will open and you can fill in a new title in the thin box and picture and information in the larger box underneath. Yes ~ lets record more Bruce Cockburn songs next time, I thought you did a fine job with that "All the Diamonds" song _ next time I will allow for more preparation time...on the other hand, I appreciate that you just sang it ~ made my day ! and besides remember the Dave Stringer statement about devotional music / Kirtan...he said that "Perfectionism is the death of the tradition" kind o a strong statement, but I agree with it... it helps us just make music more free from our ego trips and self-criticism. at least that's how it works for me. :-~)
All the best to you ! ~~dale

Profile Information

About Me:
I'm a practitioner of "ordinary" spirituality, i.e. It's all around and in us everyday and everywhere. I've been involved in the dances since'91, I took hand in the SOI from Atum O'Kane in '94(?). I feel contact with Spirit readily in the wilds of the canyons and mountains (I've worked as a therapeutic wilderness guide).

My spiritual practices come from Hazrat Inayat Khan and Vajrayana Buddhism primarily but not exclusively.

I've been playing guitar and singing since I was in high school('63). Sitting in my living room singing and playing I often feel Spirit moving in me. I've been leading some dances in Durango with Susan, Kate, and Cheryl since fall of '07. In March '08 I finally applied to work toward certification as a dance leader. I am honored that many dance leaders who have supported me undertaking this (Habib, Majida, Susan, Samudra, Bernie, Bernie, Wadooda, and more) .
Your Canyonlands Story
I've been haunting Canyonlands since the early 80's. When I heard of a dance camp there I was excited to participate. I think I first came in '02. It is a beautiful combination of setting, sharing, and celebration. I love doing sitting practice on the slickrock then going into the cave to sing and dance. It's a great combination of opening to the far and wild, then containment and building of energy.

Words fail me, I can't capture the joy, pleasure, and attunement of the Canyonlands dance experience in words. If you've been there you know what I mean. Thanks for sharing your love and spirit in the cave.
